EW has learned exclusively that Downton Abbey alum Dan Stevens will lend his voice to the Greg Berlanti-produced Tomorrow People, voicing biological computer TIM, a character first established in the ’70s British version of the show and originally voiced by Canadian actor Philip Gilbert.

Simon Merrells, who played the evil Marcus Crassus in Starz’ Spartacus: War of the Damned, is joining The Tomorrow People in a recurring role, TVLine has learned exclusively.
According to exec producer Phil Klemmer, Merrells will play “somebody who has a lot of power over” Mark Pellegrino’s villain Jedikiah, adding, “We’re going to get to see him, hopefully, through the back half [of the season].”

Carly Pope has booked a recurring role on The CW’s new sci-fi series, TVLine has learned exclusively.
The actress will play Morgan Burke, one of the super-powered folk who has managed, thanks to an illicit relationship with a very powerful man, to conceal her paranormal abilities from the government organization which hunts down her kind. But when her connection is exposed, Morgan becomes a pawn in a shadow war between the species.

“Pilot” — (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

THE UNKNOWN — When Stephen Jameson (Robbie Amell) begins hearing voices and waking up in strange places, he starts to question his sanity. In desperation, Stephen decides to listen to one of the voices in his head, and it leads him to his first encounter with the Tomorrow People — John (Luke Mitchell), Cara (Peyton List) and Russell (Aaron Yoo) — a genetically advanced race with the abilities of telekinesis, teleportation and telepathic communication. The Tomorrow People inform him that they are being hunted down by a paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra, led by Dr. Jedikiah Price (Mark Pellegrino). Meanwhile, Stephen gets another surprise that leads him down his own path, which he hopes will help him uncover the truth about his father’s (guest star Jeffrey Pierce, “Alcatraz”) mysterious disappearance. Madeleine Mantock also stars. Danny Cannon directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti, Julie Plec and Phil Klemmer and teleplay by Phil Klemmer (#101).

In Too Deep

When Ultra tries to probe Stephen's (Robbie Amell) brain, he looks to his fellow Tomorrow People for help, but is rebuffed by an angry John (Luke Mitchell), leaving Cara (Peyton List) to go behind John's back to help Stephen. Meanwhile, Ultra tracks down the identity of a new break-out, who has been using his powers to commit crimes. Stephen tracks down the new break-out, but is shocked when an Ultra swat team is called in. At a loss for what to do, Stephen calls on John, Cara and Russell (Aaron Yoo) for help, leaving them with a risk of also getting caught. Upon learning of Ultra's evil motives, John tries to convince Stephen to spy on Ultra to help save other potential Tomorrow People, while still pursuing the answers he seeks about this father. Mark Pellegrino and Madeleine Mantock also star. Danny Cannon directed the episode written by Phil Klemmer and Jeff Rake (#102).
