Impressionante la meticolistà della ricostruzione che utilizza tutto materiale originale dell'epoca
Da stralci di conversazioni originali avute tra un giornalista e Ted Bundy prende il via la descrizione della storia criminale di uomo da una mente brillante e psicopatica allo stesso tempo

Tratto dall'omonimo libro libro di Mattia Torre (già autore e sceneggiatore di Boris), la serie segue le vicissitudini di Luigi (Valerio Mastandrea) che deve sottoporsi ad un delicato intervento chirurgico dopo aver scoperto di avere un tumore. Attraverso il racconto surreale e satirico (ma anche drammatico) della sua esperienza di degenza entriamo, così, nel quotidiano del reparto di urologia oncologica di un ospedale italiano.
Oltre a Valerio Mastandrea il cast annovera Babak Karimi, Greta Scarano, Giorgio Tirabassi, Paolo Calabresi, Ninni Bruschetta, Antonio Catania

La serie, in 8 episodi, andrà in onda a partire dal 13 gennaio in prima serata su Raitre ma è già disponibile interamente sulla piattaforma di Raiplay

To Live And Die In L.A., the cult 1985 MGM movie written and directed by William Friedkin, is headed to the small screen. In a competitive situation, WGN America has landed a drama series adaptation of the action thriller, with Oscar winner Friedkin directing and executive producing. Friedkin has created the TV adaptation with another Oscar winner, Bobby Moresco (Crash). Moresco will write the script and will executive produce. I hear the project, from MGM Television (Fargo) and Tribute Studios, has received a script-to-series commitment and is expected to go straight to series upon script approval.

To Live And Die In L.A. is a reimagining of Friedkin’s influential film, which helped launch the careers of its principal cast of then-unknowns, Willem Dafoe, William Petersen, John Pankow, Jane Leeves and John Turturro.

Like the film , the TV adaptation is based on the novel by former U.S. Secret Service agent Gerald Petievich and centers on a fearless Secret Service agent who will stop at nothing to bring down the counterfeiter who killed his partner. The series is described as an intense immersion into the inner workings of the Secret Service and a cat-and-mouse chase through the dark underbelly of the City of Angels.

Friedkin’s credits include his signature movie, The French Connection, for which he won an Oscar, as well as The Exorcist and Rules Of Engagement. Moresco started his career in television, where he also co-created with his Crash collaborator Paul Haggis the drama series The Black Donnellys, and served as a producer on the series adaptation of Crash.

The project was packaged by ICM Partners, which reps Friedkin and Moresco. Moresco also is with David Guillod of Primary Wave Entertainment.

Musica / [Gruppo] Joy Division

Recentemente ho visto Control, il meraviglioso film dedicato ai Joy Division e ho pensato all'importanza enorme avuta da questo gruppo
Per moltissimi Unknown Pleasures è l'album più importante della storia della musica
Al di là delle classifiche, che lasciano sempre il tempo che trovano, la potenza dei testi dei JD è gigantesca
C'è tutta la sofferenza di Ian Curtis, la sua malattia, la sua difficoltà di essere compreso dal mondo che lo circondava
Io ho sempre i brividi (letteralmente parlando) quando ascolto UP e non mi capita per nessun altro album in questo modo
In Disorder, l'inarrivabile prima traccia, è impossibile non identificarsi nello stato fisico e mentale di Ian e riesci solo ad immaginare cosa lui potesse provare.
Ma i JD sono anche un gruppo che ha innovato tantissimo anche dal punto di vista della tecnica musicale (basti pensare all'uso geniale del basso)
Ian Curtis si tolse la vita nel 1980 a soli 23 anni.
Posso solo immaginare cosa sarebbero potuti diventare

Parenthood / [COMMENTI] Parenthood 6x10 - How Did We Get Here

Mi permetto di aprire il topic

Una discreta puntata dove finalmente torna la coralità
Un episodio di buoni sentimenti, forse un pò troppo zuccheroso (specie alla fine con la festa in ospedale per Amber) ma in linea con tutto ciò che rappresenta la famiglia Braverman
Il vero protagonista della puntata per me è Hank (autentica sorpresa della stagione) con il suo atteggiamento, la sua disponibilità, il suo modo di essere presente, il suo modo di farsi accettare...la sua proposta in tipico Hank-style. L'attore tra l'altro è bravissimo e molto credibile.

Volevo fare questa considerazione...ieri è morta Anita Ekberg..un'attrice che negli anni 60 aveva il mondo ai suoi piedi ma che è morta tristemente sola come un cane in una casa di riposo. Ecco dopo aver visto la puntata di Parenthood ho pensato che è bellissimo avere una famiglia così...che nel momento di bisogno è pronta lì a sorreggerti e a darti un conforto. Penso che sia l'unica cosa che conti in questo mondo qualunque sia il tipo di famiglia che uno cerchi di costruirsi. :)

Non sarà la stagione più bella di Parenthood ma è sempre in grado riconciliarmi un pò con tutto e so già che mi mancherà molto!!!!

Vorrei segnalarvi questo meraviglioso film tratto dal romanzo premio nobel "L'uomo duplicato" di Josè Saramago

Diretto da uno dei più talentuosi registi degli ultimi anni (Prisoners, Polytechnique, La donna che canta...) vede come straordinario interprete Jake Gyllenhaal
E' un film molto inquietante (e con uno dei finali più shockanti a cui abbia mai assistito)
Richiede tantissima attenzione dello spettatore

Un professore di storia, dopo il divorzio dalla moglie, decide di vivere isolato dal mondo. Un giorno un amico gli consiglia di noleggiare un film in dvd e il professore fa una scoperta sconcertante: una delle comparse presenti nella pellicola è fisicamente identica a lui. Determinato a capire chi sia questo suo doppio, l'uomo cercherà in tutti i modi di scoprire la sua identità ma la ricerca non sarà così semplice e metterà a repentaglio sia la sua esistenza che quella della misteriosa comparsa

Creator Kurt Sutter Talks ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Prequel, Season 5 Story Arc And Twitter

Kurt Sutter, the colorful and unfiltered creator/showrunner of the FX flagship drama series Sons of Anarchy, told an audience attending a PaleyFest event at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills this evening that he is still very much committed to doing an SOA prequel series after the mothership series wraps. Of course, that won’t be happening any time soon, given that Sutter just last month signed a three-year deal to take the biker soap through at least six and most likely seven seasons. Tonight, he replied to an audience member’s question about the prequel idea by saying, “I had this notion of wanting to explore the first nine. I see it as a different show – not a continuation or another version of Sons of Anarchy but a more political and socially historical sort of show. I definitely have some interest in doing it. I’d like to explore it in some capacity.” Sutter added that it would be something that wouldn’t be explored until after Sons left the air, “and nobody on this stage would be with me.”

The prequel revelation came at the end of an SOA event that had to set an unofficial PaleyFest panel record for most number of times the word “fuck” and permutations of the word (“fucking,” “fucker,” “fuckin,” “fucked”) were uttered. The most memorable instance came when Sutter, flanked by his real-life wife Katie Sagal (who portrays Gemma on the show) responded to a question of why the character of Unser (played by Dayton Callie) was helping Gemma on the show. “Maybe it’s me,” he said, “but I assume everyone wants to fuck my wife.” This dovetailed with the question of why Sutter has been so unable to control his baser impulses over Twitter. “I’m so desperately in need of attention,” he admitted. “I was baffled by Twitter initially and now I understand the power of it. Obviously I tweet a lot of ridiculous things, sometimes just to amuse myself and sometimes to see how much trouble I can get into…I’m not really good one on one with people, but I’ve found the virtual relationship where I don’t have to see anyone to be fantastic. I can love you in 143 characters.”

A few other revelations during tonight’s SOA PaleyFest panel:

–The major arc for the forthcoming fifth season of SOA will surround the idea of having put Jax (star Charlie Hunnam) in charge “and the loyalties of it and where people land,” Sutter said. “The dynamic that will play out this season will see Jax at the head of the table and the struggles he has in being king. Basically, the question will be, ‘Can Jax be the leader of an organized crime family and not become Clay (Ron Perlman)?’”

–The role of a porn producer portrayed last season by guest star David Hasselhoff was originally written for rocker Steven Tyler. “But The Hoff wound up doing a great job after Steven became too busy to do it,” Sutter said.

–Despite her husband’s rebel image, Sagal called Sutter “a wonderful husband and a loving father…And having three children keeps us both not quite as self-obsessed about work as we’d like to be.” But Sutter added, “Clearly I love this gig. If it sucked and was a miserable experience, I’m sure we wouldn’t be having this conversation, because (my wife and I would) be divorced.”

–Sagal is relieved to no longer be typecast as Peg Bundy, her Married…With Children role for 11 seasons. “Peg gave me a career and I was truly grateful for it,” she said. “But when I did an arc on Lost, I had to go in and audition and fight my way in because so many people saw me as Peg.”
